His upbringing, influenced by his mother, a former IRS agent, and his father, a licensed contractor, imbued him with deep knowledge of accounting, taxation, and entrepreneurship. Barnell’s professional accolades include the highest IRS credential and recognition as the Fort Worth Minority Business of the Year in 2022. His expertise covers various domains, including individual and corporate taxation, business start-ups, mergers, executive management, HR, legal issues, and IRS representation.
His entrepreneurial ventures span multiple sectors, including accounting, construction, transportation, IRS representation, recreational parks, tax software sales, and real estate. Barnell’s success, coupled with his dedication to fostering talent, serves as an inspiration to the next generation of professionals.
He is an entrepreneur with over 18+ years of experience as an accountant and a federally authorized licensed tax practitioner who can represent individual and business taxpayers before the IRS and State Agencies nationwide. His Enrolled Agent designation is the highest credential the Internal Revenue Service awarded. Barnell and his team were the recipients of the Fort Worth Minority Business of the Year award in 2022.
Barnell’s expertise includes individual and corporate taxation in all industries, business start-ups, acquisitions and mergers, executive management/leadership, human resources, legal, accounting and bookkeeping, payroll and payroll tax laws, financial consulting, and IRS & State representation. He is known for having a contagious passion for excellence, a talent for resourceful business solutions, and a capacity for motivational leadership for our younger generation.

He has a practical, ethical, and honest way of educating his clients, staff/colleagues, and student interns, which makes him trustworthy. Barnell’s successful leadership has groomed young leaders into rewarding careers as IRS agents, CPAs, Accountants, and HR Professionals, to name a few. One of Barnell’s most prized experiences during his career was when he worked on a high-profile Tax Professional case side by side with a former U.S. prosecuting attorney who’s ranked in the Top 1% in the U.S. as a defense attorney and has been listed in Forbes and Fortune magazine as the only criminal defense white collar crime attorney in Dallas/Fort Worth. This case for the tax professional was reduced from 87 years to 14 years. “This case would’ve never gone to trial” if the Tax Professional had hired a referred attorney initially, per high profile defense attorney.

Barnell’s passion and core strength is his success in resolving IRS issues for individuals, business taxpayers, and tax professionals nationwide who have owed the IRS millions of dollars. Barnell is a serial entrepreneur with ownership in several companies, including, but not limited to, Accounting Firms, Residential and Commercial Construction Companies, Transportation and logistics Companies, an IRS Representation Firm, an ATV Park and recreation company, a Tax Software Sales and marketing Firm, and Real Estate.
